These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and services made through our website icelandicjourney.is, operated by Journey X ehf.

By booking a tour or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Role of Icelandic Journey

Icelandic Journey offers tours and travel experiences both directly and in cooperation with trusted third-party providers. When booking a tour, your contract will either be with Journey X ehf. (for our own tours) or with the third-party provider (for partner tours). This will be clearly indicated at the time of booking.

While we carefully select our partners, we cannot assume liability for their performance, delays, changes, or safety standards.

3. Booking and Confirmation

When you place a booking through our site, you will receive an automatic confirmation email. Final confirmation is subject to availability and acceptance by the provider. We reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings in case of technical errors or changes from the provider.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Each tour or activity has its own cancellation policy, which is displayed at the time of booking. Refunds, if applicable, are issued based on the stated terms.

Refund Processing: Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, subject to the applicable cancellation policy.

In cases of extreme weather, force majeure, or operational issues, tours may be canceled or altered. We do our best to inform you in a timely manner.

5. Responsibility & Liability

For tours operated directly by Journey X ehf., we take full responsibility for the safe and professional execution of the service as described. For partner tours, liability rests with the third-party provider.

Travel and participation in outdoor activities involve inherent risks, and each traveler is responsible for assessing their own fitness and insurance coverage.

6. Insurance

We strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers health, cancellations, and personal belongings before participating in any activity.

7. Pricing, Payment & Delivery of Services

Prices are listed in ISK or EUR and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to adjust prices without prior notice due to currency changes, tax updates, or supplier price changes. Full payment is usually required at the time of booking unless stated otherwise.

Delivery of Services: All services sold on icelandicjourney.is are delivered on the date specified in the booking confirmation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Personal Data

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Icelandic law. Any disputes arising under these Terms & Conditions shall be resolved in the district court of Reykjavík, Iceland.
